My little tree hugger

This was our conversation in the car today as drove past workers clearing a lot across from our subdivision...

E: Mommy, what is that man doing?

Me: He is driving a machine that takes down trees

E: Why?

Me: They are taking down trees to build something there

E: I don't want them to take down the trees

Me: They have to take down the trees in order to put a building there

E: But I want there to be beautiful trees there and all around! (in a whiny voice)

Maybe I should this to head honcho at Exxon that decided to put a gas station across from our subdivision!
