What a great Valentine's Day this was. Joe and I actually started our Valentine's Day celebration on Friday with a couples massage. We were both in need of a massage--what better way to enjoy a massage than with the one that you love.
On Saturday, I knew that we had dinner plans later that evening so I waited to get dressed so that I wouldn't have to take two showers in a day. Time is precious and who wants to spend their whole day getting ready?? Sometime after lunch, the doorbell rang and I asked Joe to get the door because remember I hadn't gotten dressed for the day. I could see through the sheer curtain of the front door that it was a man wearing a red hat and not a friend of Tanners. I told Joe that if it were a solicitor to just peek through the curtain and point to our "No Soliciting Sign". Joe goes to door and opens it. Poor thing, I ruined his surprise....it was a floral arrangement for me! Later in the evening we headed to Perry's Steakhouse for dinner. This was my first visit to Perry's and now I know why everyone loves this place.
After dinner, I was so close to getting Joe to see a movie. Joe doesn't care to go to the movie theater. During dinner however he asked if I would like to go and see a movie. Of course my answer was yes. By the time dinner was finished it was sprinkling outside. I called my mom on the way to the movie theater to see how Emma was doing. My mom informed me that I had forgot to put diapers in the diaper bag! My mom said that it would be fine if we went to the movie theater...she said that she could put a washcloth on Emma and fasten it with safety pins. Joe and I looked at each other and knew what a mess that could make. Needless to say we headed right over to my parent's house to get Emma. I guess Joe will have to make it up to me and take me to see a movie sometime soon! We did go home however and watched a movie, Fireproof, that I bought for him for Valentine's Day (the movie was just one of his gifts). Joe's gift to me was a new Apple MacBook.
