A little getaway...

Yesterday, Joe and I were able to get away for the night. We had hotel reservations at The Magnolia Hotel in Downtown Houston. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse. Joe said that his steak was the best he has ever had anywhere before and we have been to some well known steakhouses in the past. I enjoyed a Whole Maine Lobster! Of course, I couldn't eat the whole lobster because we started dinner with sharing their yummy crab cake. Then Joe enjoyed a cup of their Lobster Bisque while I had a wedge salad. Their portions are HUGE! With our dinner, we opted for their famous Creamed Spinach and Au Gratin Potatoes as our sides. Luckily before we headed to the restaurant, we had noticed that our hotel room was equipped with a refrigerator. We were able to take everything that we didn't finish (including desserts-- a Key Lime Pie for Joe & a Chocolate Cake for me)! We got back to our hotel with our huge bag of food, opened the refrigerator and noticed that it was fully stocked. Nothing would fit. If any of the items in the refrigerator were removed, you were automatically charged for that item (and they weren't cheap either). We called downstairs and were so relieved when they were able to supply our room with an additional small refrigerator. Our dinner/leftovers were saved!
