Happy Baptismal Day, Emma!

Seventeen months ago we welcomed you into this world.   Today, your baptismal day, God welcomed you to his church.

I Corinthians 12.13:  For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free - and we were all given the one Spirit.

At our church every other month or so a Baptism Service is held in the Robb Chapel.  This service is very informal and is for the parents and family of the baby being baptized.  The pastor reminded everyone at the beginning of the service that it would be a short service.  Shortly after the service began, Joe smelled an odor so I quickly rushed Emma into the restroom for a diaper change.  Sure enough Joe was right!  Emma and I made it back to the chapel just in time to join the other parents and Joe who were waiting in line for their baby's turn to be baptized. Awww, the joys of parenthood!

My parents and grandmother also joined us at church today to see their granddaughter being baptized.

What a wonderful day!!! The diaper story will be one you will be able to tell for years and really embarass her with! Your grandmother looks great and looked so happy to be there!
