her. I had also called on Wednesday when I first noticed that the bites looked swollen. The doctors office just said to continue to put on Cortaid and she could also be taking Benadryl every 6 hours. We did all of this and still the bites looked bad. So this morning, we headed over to the doctor for her to check it out. The bites today looked a little different...now they looked more like blisters. The doctor was unsure if they were an infection or maybe something that I put on the bite infected it either way she was treating it like it was an infection. She prescribed a topical antibiotic lotion that we are to apply 3 times a day and an oral antibiotic which is to be used twice a day. The doctor said that we should see a little improvement within the next 24 hours.

that looks awful, poor Emma.
Did they ever go away? My daughter had bug bites...I called the doctor...she said if we didn't see improvement, it could be staph.
sandy, you can blame our side of the family for that. gabriel gets the EXACT same thing - huge blisters when he gets bit by mosquitos. our pediatrician said gabe is allergic to the bites. i've been spraying my yard with "mosquito barrier". it's made entirely of garlic. you should check it out online - all natural stuff - only kills those little blood suckers.
