This is how this easy thingy works!You search with this search engine...which is powered by Google/Ask.com and every time you search you have the chance to win 1-5 swag bucks and sometimes the lucky people will win the bonus bucks which are much bigger. Once you have enough swag bucks, you can "buy" a gift card as well as other prizes in the swag store. If you sign up friends and family you will earn swag bucks faster. I personally search with Mandy Moore. There are many other swag sites to choose from after you sign up with all sorts of celebs if you don't care for Mandy Moore.
The reason that they "pay" you is because they want more traffic from people so that they can charge more to google/ask.com and so they share some of the profit in the form of prizes with those of us that sign up and use the search engine.
If you don't want to or can't download the search engine then you can just bookmark the page and use it all the time.
Also, if you have an old cell phone lying around, you can print their prepaid label to ship it to them to be recycled and they will pay you a bunch of swag bucks! Now...where is my old cell phone LOL
