First Day of School.....Parents Rejoice!

Today is the first day of school for the parents of Spring, Texas. Boy this was a LONG summer! If you ask Tanner (or any kid) they will say what a short summer it was. Today, Tanner is starting 7th grade at York Jr. High. 7th grade, that is so hard for me to believe. Tanner is very excited but a little nervous as well. Last week we went up to the new school for Orientation and of course experienced a problem with his schedule. Being the persistent mother that I am, I was able to get it changed so that Tanner would be in Athletics (which all football players should be in). I guess it was just a little mistake that no one caught...thankfully it all worked out. Tanner will ride the bus this morning with his neighbor friends but after today I will be taking him to school. Tanner will have to be at school by 7:30AM every morning for football practice. You'll have to check back later to see how his first day school went.

And off he goes..... :(

I am siding with Tanner on this one, it was a SHORT summer! You are forgetting about all of us poor teachers that are having to be back working now :( Hope he had a good day!
