Camping Out in the Backyard!

Yesterday, Joe got a wild hair and decided to camp out in the backyard. Emma loved the idea. She has been wanting to go camping at the beach so Joe thought trying it out in the backyard first was a good idea. The whole family packed up and took a trip to Bass Pro Shop in Katy (an hour away) just to buy camping supplies.

Before dark, Joe put together a fire pit to make smores. You can't go camping without having smores, right?

It was just going to be Joe and Emma sleeping in the tent since Tanner had school and well you know, I was a little excited to have a king size bed all to myself. Was looking forward to a mini-vacation! HA...I was called about 10 times on the phone from the time that they went out there, read a bedtime story and lantern went out. Emma was afraid of the wind blowing the tent and the shadows that appeared around them. Before I knew it, they were both back in the house. So much for my mini-vacation!
