Sick!

I really hate this time of year when it is cold and everyone is sick....especially when they are my children! Emma has had a bad deep cough since Thursday and only got worse this weekend. She started running fever yesterday afternoon. By 9:00PM last night, Emma's fever got up to 103. Fever scares me to know end so I loaded up the car, picked up my mom and we on our way to the ER Clinic that closes at 10:00PM. After the dr heard Emma's cough, he had her do a breathing treatment in the clinic and wanted to take an xray of her lungs. If you remember around Thanksgiving time, we were at this same clinic trying to get xrays and Emma was not having any of it! Last night wasn't any better but they managed to get the xrays with the help of me and two employees of the clinic. The dr said that the xray did show a spot on her left lung so he was calling it Viral Pneumonia. Before sending us on our way, Emma had to have a shot that seemed to last an eternity. Once we left the clinic we still had one more stop...a Walgreens that was opened 24 hours for both of her medications. I think we walked in the door last at 11:30PM and were able to get in the bed at midnight.

Today, Emma seems to be feeling a tiny bit better. She is still running fever, has a cough and runny nose. Hoping that the medication will kick in soon.
