Last week Joe and I made a quick trip to Vegas. We had received two complimentary nights at Mandalay Bay so we took full advantage of it. We had read that you can try to upgrade to a larger room by slipping the cashier at check-in $20.00. Joe tried it to see if it worked and it did....they offered us a suite for $20.00 a night. Not bad and the room was huge with a great view of the strip. Not to mention on the flight to Vegas, we were both upgraded to first class. This trip was looking pretty good from the very start! On Wednesday, we checked in to our room then had lunch at Border Grill in Mandalay Bay. We got our mexican fix right away! Little did we know that we would be eating at two Food Network chef's restaurants this trip. Border Grill's chefs are Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger from Food Network's "Too Hot Tamale's". After lunch we spent some time playing the slots before heading back to get dressed for dinner and a show. We ate dinner at Mon Am Gabi at the Paris Hotel overlooking Bellagio Fountains before heading to Cirque Du Soleil's O show at Bellagio. Both our dinner and the show were amazing! Mon Am Gabi is now one our favorite restaurants in Vegas! On Thursday, we lunch at Bobby Flay's, Mesa Grill, in Ceasar's Palace then spent the rest of the day at Mandalay Bay's Spa where Joe and I both enjoyed lots of pampering and relaxation. Thursday evening we had dinner at Pearl in MGM and saw Cirque Du Soleil's show KA at MGM. O is by far our favorite show. Neither of us were too impressed with KA. Joe did pretty good both nights winning on the slots thank goodness because I did nothing but lose. His winnings made up for my loses! Our trip was short but we had a great time and are looking forward to going back to Vegas very soon!
