This was not the homecoming that I was hoping for when Joe arrived home on Thursday. I came down with a bad viral infection late Wednesday evening, headed to the doctor Thursday morning and then picked up Joe from the airport Thursday afternoon. I was down Thursday, Friday and Saturday but starting feeling better on Sunday. Joe's family (dad & step-mom) came into town from Grand Junction, Colorado on Friday. We had a great time with them even though I was sick. On Sunday, we were able to get out. We (all the adults) went for massages, did some shopping in Old Town Spring and had a nice dinner at Americas.
The 4th of July came and went without any fireworks this year! Joe had been waiting for this day for like the last 6 months. Due to the drought in our area all fireworks were prohibited in our neighborhood. Guess we will now have to wait until New Year's Eve.
