First and Last

Today was a busy day for us. We started the morning by going to get my haircut. Afterwards, we headed over to Gymboree- Music & Play. Today was Emma's first day of her Gymboree class. She had a blast playing with balls, crawling, singing and interacting with the other babies. Emma was the youngest baby in the class but she didn't let that bother her. She was right there with the rest of them.

This afternoon was spent at the doctors office for Emma's 9 month well visit. Emma weighed a whopping 15.13 1/2! She is in the 3rd percentile for her age range. She is just going to be a little bitty thing. While we were there, Emma was due 3 immunizations and a blood test to check to see if she is anemic. I knew that would could back negative...this girl does not like to sleep!

We do have some good news. The pediatric cardiologists is beginning to wean Emma off of her heart medication. Rather than taking 4 doses a day, she will now only take 3 doses. The doctor said that by the time she is 12 months old that she could be off it. They like to taper off the medication rather than taking them off cold turkey. Emma's pediatrician listened to her heart today and said that she sounded good. We go back to the pediatric cardiologist mid July.

Well today was Tanner's last day of 6th grade. I can't believe my baby is getting so big! We thought that his last of school was going to be a 1/2 day today so I did not pack him lunch. Being the good mom that I am, I stopped by Church's Chicken and surprised him with lunch. When I got to the cafeteria he was eating someone else's sandwich! I think he was pretty happy to see me :)
